About Ben Court, Registered Osteopath BSc (Hons) Osteopathic Medicine

Ben Court

My journey into osteopathy began with a fascination for human anatomy, personal experience with osteopathy and a genuine desire to help others heal.

"Having been treated by osteopaths as a child, osteopathy seemed like the obvious career for me and I've not looked back since—I love my work!"

Since qualifying in 2006 and dedicating my life to helping patients "get on with theirs," I've been fortunate to expand my expertise beyond traditional osteopathy. Inspired by and trained under Dr. Gabor Maté, I discovered that understanding what was happening in a patient's life when their symptoms started can help me pinpoint more elusive issues.

Today, I offer three complementary approaches: traditional osteopathy, mind-body medicine, and somatic psychotherapy—used individually or in combination based on your specific needs. This integrated approach can be particularly helpful for persistent or complex conditions that haven't responded well to conventional treatment alone.

"I love my work, it is truly humbling when I can help patients get back on their feet, pain free."

Recently, a patient consulted me about surgery she had scheduled to address 8-years of chronic pain. I asked her when the issue started and what else was happening in her life at that time. She replied, "No one has asked me that in all these years." This led to a deeper conversation, after which she inquired, "Does everyone get osteopathy and psychotherapy?" I replied. "Your answers enable me to pinpoint the most effective approach. But the choice of a singular or combined treatment is always yours."

My patients tell me that my warm nature and quick smile help them feel comfortable at whatever level of care feels right for them. While my approaches are holistically guided, all of my treatments remain firmly rooted in scientific research and evidence-based practice.

A devoted family man, I’m full of pride for my children, Harry and Florence, for the wonderful humans they are—which reflects the caring, nurturing approach I try to bring to all of my patient relationships.
