The Family Osteopath

Three Distinct Approaches. One Clear Intention.

The Osteopathy, Mind-Body Medicine and Somatic Psychotherapy services I offer are distinct. While they can stand alone, they can—when integrated—more effectively return you to perfect health (wholeness), re-balanced, with full function restored.
So whether you’ve experienced a recent injury, or an older, long-standing problem is recurring, I offer everything you need to relieve your pain. Simply complete my intake form, and I will recommend what I see as the best course of action. Please bear in mind that you will ultimately decide on the approaches I use, singly or in combination. That choice is always yours.

Why I Diversified

When conventional or complementary treatments alone didn't provide lasting relief, I sought answers by exploring new paths. This same instinct inspired Dr. Gabor Maté to ask his patients, "What else was happening in your life when this started?" Their answers helped him successfully pinpoint and address issues that had eluded Western medicine's diagnostic approach. They also proved to him that past experience and injuries can linger in our bodies.
Since qualifying in 2006, I have continuously undertaken additional training to better support my patients’ health and wellbeing. Today I offer three complementary healing approaches: Traditional Osteopathy, Mind-Body Medicine, and Somatic Psychotherapy. These can be used individually or in combination, depending on your specific needs and goals. This integrated approach can be particularly helpful for persistent, recurring, or complex conditions that haven't responded well to conventional treatment alone. Whether you're seeking straightforward osteopathic care or are open to exploring holistic paths or deeper connections between your physical symptoms and life experiences, the choice is always yours.
I’ve created the videos below to briefly explain each of my 3 approaches, and how they can interweave and support your healing. As you watch, please be assured that I will offer you only my best professional recommendations for your individual needs—and—the choice is always yours.

"Pain at best can be annoying, niggling and a nuisance, but at worst can be excruciating and debilitating. After only five appointments I am free from sciatic pain, thanks to Ben at The Family Osteopath. How Cranial Osteopathy works, I don't really know, though it was explained to me. However this much I know, it works! Ben works with patience and understanding and has worked wonders to relieve my pain in such a short space of time. All I can say is 'thank you'!"

- J Sara

"After being in pain for over 8 years I had pretty much given up any hope of being pain free again. I was recommended to Ben by a friend, and with a few months of treatment I am pain free, feel phenomenally better and happier! I have no idea how it works, despite Ben explaining it to me, but it works wonders!"

- L Williams

"Ben's help and support over the past year has been invaluable. His calm, collected and philosophical nature is incredibly reassuring. He has given me the opportunity to work through events and stages in my life that I have previously struggled to talk about and make sense of. I have become much more calm, much happier and have a more positive outlook on life . Ben has been wonderful and I couldn't recommend him more highly."

About Ben Court, Registered Osteopath

BSc (Hons) Osteopathic Medicine

Ben Court
My journey into osteopathy flowed from my fascination with how humans work, personal experience and a genuine desire to help others heal. My patients tell me that my warm, caring nature and gentle smile help them feel comfortable at whatever level of care feels right for them.

Decades of Experience

Since qualifying in 2006, I have dedicated my life to helping patients "get on with theirs," continuously undertaking additional training.

Specialized Training

Inspired and trained by Dr. Gabor Maté, I integrate mind-body medicine and somatic psychotherapy into my practice.

Today, I offer three complementary approaches: traditional osteopathy, mind-body medicine, and somatic psychotherapy – used individually or in combination based on your specific needs. This integrated approach can be particularly helpful for persistent or complex conditions that haven't responded well to conventional or complementary treatments alone.

Holistic & Caring Approach

Recently, a patient with 8 years of chronic pain told me, "No one has asked me that in all these years" after I inquired about her life when the symptoms started. This deeper conversation is at the heart of my practice—the choice of treatment is always yours.

A devoted family man, I am full of pride for my children, Harry and Florence, for the wonderful humans they are—which reflects the caring, nurturing approach I try to bring to all of my patient relationships.
"I love my work, it is truly humbling when I can help patients get back on their feet, pain free."

The Family Osteopath

Your partner in holistic health and healing.

Here's what my patients are saying...

"Hi Ben, just a quick thank you for all of the treatment over the past 10 years. It is comforting to know that you are a call away. My issues have ranged from a niggle to severe, you have always fitted me in and eased my pains. Your advice regarding a torn meniscus was invaluable recommending I see a surgeon rather than more treatments (money saved thank you). I wish you and your family all the best."
